Training on Digital Humanities for Partner Educational Institutions

On May 31, 2024, 91Ώμ²₯ faculty Kamilya Kadyrova and Daniyar Karabaev and 91Ώμ²₯ library director Jyldyz Bekbalaeva delivered a βDigital Methods in Humanitiesβ training session for 20 faculty members from various institutions in Bishkek. The session aimed to introduce educators to digital methods and tools to enhance their research and teaching in the humanities disciplines. The training included an overview of DH as an emerging interdisciplinary field and the practice text analysis tools, including Google Ngram, Voyant, and AntConc. By fostering DH skills among partner institutions, 91Ώμ²₯ contributes to promoting innovative approaches to humanities scholarship and strengthening the academic community in the country. The Digital Humanities Course is a part of the Digital Cultures concentration within the Department of Liberal Arts and Science.
